Paper conglomerate WestRock awarded MPW with its Supplier Recognition Award 2023, Site Service Provider for creating safer work environments for operators. The award was presented during the WestRock Supplier Forum in Atlanta, Georgia, January 23.
“There were only some select suppliers who were invited to this particular supplier forum,” said South Atlantic District Regional Sales Manager Jason Abernathy, who attended the forum with District Manager Carey Houck to receive the award. “It was really just the suppliers who were nominated for awards.” He said Wayne Cameron, WestRock’s senior sourcing manager, nominated MPW for the award.
“WestRock’s purpose is to innovate boldly and lead packaging sustainably,” Cameron said. “To achieve this, we prioritize safety in our work environments.” He said each year the WestRock procurement leadership team reviews supplier innovations to determine its service award winners.
“By adding automation to their provided services, MPW contributes to safer work environments for operators, which is a primary reason MPW was selected to receive a WestRock Service Provider award,” Cameron said.
