Industries : Gas Transmission
MPW will be exhibiting at EGCR in Moon Township, PA, May 13-15. Stop by Booth #167 to learn more about MPW's solutions for the Gas Transmission industry.
MPW restores peak efficiency within compressor stations by providing turnkey cleaning solutions to meet the demanding needs of the natural gas transmission industry.
MPW's chemical cleaning services utilize dedicated mobile equipment and technical engineering support to effectively clean glycol cooling loops and jacket water systems housed within compressor stations. Chemicals used in conjunction with the cleaning process aid in minimizing generated waste, saving costly off-site disposal. Proprietary pumping equipment moves chemicals through the system to remove accumulated iron oxide deposits, and sludge and scale originating from glycol and additive breakdown. Fouled or scaled engines can lead to premature engine failure and unplanned downtime, reducing pipeline capacity. MPW's cleaning process improves the system's cooling efficiency and extends engine life by improving circulation and heat transfer. Glycol dehydrator units are susceptible to corrosion from natural gas contaminates and improper fluid maintenance. MPW's chemical cascade method of cleaning, pumps chemicals into the tower where they are circulated to the top and cascade down the internal walls to remove unwanted impurities.
MPW is an authorized reseller of NORKOOL Cleaner, Degreaser and Inhibitor 244.
MPW's mobilized high-purity deionization (DI) units are used to circulate high-purity water through rinse stages, following chemical cleaning. DI units quickly provide large quantities of water without incurring large overhead costs.
MPW assumes management of jacket water system cleaning projects including draining, filtration, flushing and refilling the system utilizing mobile frac tanks. MPW chemical engineers replace glycol concentrate and DI water to restore the system to original specifications. Because of over-firing of pipeline heaters, oxidation and coking of the glycol result. High-pressure hydroblasting and vacuuming techniques remove coke and corrosion scale from accessible points of pipe, thus increasing flow capacity. Cutting edge video inspection services may be integrated to verify pipeline cleanliness.
From the initial analysis through all phases of cleaning, MPW offers a complete service line that strictly adheres to all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
